This method returns mincha gedola calculated as 30 minutes after chatzos and not 1/2 of a shaah zmanis after *chatzoschatzos as calculated by minchaGedola.
Some use this time to delay the start of mincha in the winter when 1/2 of a shaah zmanis is less than 30 minutes.

One should not use this time to start mincha before the standard mincha gedola. See Shulchan Aruch Orach Chayim 234:1 and the Shaar Hatziyon seif katan ches.
Return
the Date of 30 minutes after chatzos. If the calculation can't be computed such as in the Arctic Circle where there is at least one day a year where the sun does not rise, and one where it does not set, a null will be returned.
